A Service Animal Access Initiative
Mojo’s Mission is a grassroots awareness project designed to improve public understanding
of ADA service dog laws, reduce accidental discrimination, and help Amarillo businesses
become confidently Service-Dog Friendly. The initiative was created by Krisa Cantrell, MPH,
to support her mother, Renda Smith, and her trained service dog, Mojo. After witnessing
repeated access issues caused by misinformation, Krisa launched Mojo’s Mission to bring
clarity, compassion, and confidence to Amarillo’s service dog policies.
Renda and Mojo routinely encounter challenges such as:
• Improper entry refusals
• Requests for nonexistent “papers”
• Confusion between service dogs and emotional-support animals
• Inconsistent or incorrect policies across businesses
These experiences affect many Amarillo residents. Mojo’s Mission exists to educate the community through friendly, accessible training.

• ADA-Compliant Business Training
